Didn’t see these ones coming.  I’m not feeling all the colorways, but the shoe is the business!  Available at multiple retailers for $60-$80.

Budget Ballin’: sneakers and shirts for a steal

Today’s edition of Budget Ballin’ will run you $66.40.

The outfit comprises of a special edition of Vans Sk8-Hi’s and an exclusive Mighty Healthy shirt to keep you looking good.

First up are the Vans.  These are a special edition available at 6pm.com for only $45.45 shipped. They are primarily black, though the inner lining is red.  The outside around the ankle is endorsed with a white silhouette of a man, giving the impression that it is a chalk figure.  The materials are a mix of suede and leather. They are sure to be comfortable and will match quite well with the t-shirt I picked out.

Continuing with the somewhat dark theme about this sneaker, I have paired it with Mighty Healthy’s “The War Report” tee, which shows two intimidating mobsters on the chest area. Like the sneakers, the tee is primarily black with red and white accents. It will run you $20.95 shipped with a $3 shipping coupon (code is copy).

eS Hi-Lo

I’ve always been a huge fan of eS for their stylish sneakers and great prices.  They have some great designs available that can be surprisingly difficult to find.

A new model they have released is the Hi-Lo, which, to my knowledge, is a first in retail sneakers.  It’s a convertable sneaker — it can be either a high-top or a low-top.  Basically, it’s a low-top shoe by design, but you can make it into a high-top by attaching a puffed collar using the built-in clasps on the collar of the base sneaker.

They’re also pretty attractive.  They feature a vulcanized sole for durability and a clip-strap around the collar, which looks to be influenced by the Nike Vandal. They come in a variety of colorways and materials, and are priced at around $70, depending on the retailer.

Spotlight: JGoods Custom Sneakers

Have you ever heard of  the JGoods team? If not you’re in for a surprise. I have seen a lot of people try to customize shoes in my days, but this tops it off . The shoes you see below me are customized by them and strictly sold by them. They have been in the business for 5 years so you can trust  that they know exactly what the hell they’re doing. Not only do they sell their custom version,  they will even  sell you the equipment they used to make them. Crazy shit right? Once you go to their website they have an available package that seems to tell you step by step how to make your own. I know what you’re thinking; yeah that’s cool but how much are those kicks worth? Well they go for about..twelve hundred dollars.-Chris B.tokyo4tokyo6tokyo2

Supra Tuf Sneakers by Tom Penny

So I just found a way better version of the Vaider’s by Tom Penny. Released in Feb. of 08 you got to admit these are sick. We are still working to find where these are available and for how much. In the mean time the Supra burgandy color way comes close and is a nice piece. You can purchase them  at Factory 413.-Chris B.
