This is the song and the video that set the stage for what we now see in music, television, and movies. For better or for worse, 2 live crew’s overt sexual themes and imagery are the reason we have video vixens and girls gone wild commercials on our TV screens today.
Thank you, 2 live crew.
And now, cue the music:
Jose Mercado aka Munk One, is a talented artist that lives in LA and creates all types of different art. He even produces for some major label bands like Avenged Sevenfold, Bullet for my Valentine, Korn and My Chemical Romance. You might even know someone that has his art work tattooed on their arm. Recently Munk One has just released a print of the living dead available for purchase at his website.
No, seriously, where the fuck is he. It seems like he just dropped off the face of the earth after he released Crunk Juice back in ’04. Since then, crunk died, and T-Pain took over.
So what’s up with Jon now? Well, supposedly he’s going to release the long awaited solo album Crunk Rock. You know, the one with that single “Snap Yo Fingers” that dropped back in the Summer of 2006. He’s also released a wine collection. Who knew Lil Jon was a wine drinker? I guess Cabernet Sauvignon is a bit harder to put into a Crunk song than Patron. And he’s also purveyor of CRUNK!!! Energy Drink.
Finally, he’s macking on all of Miley Cyrus’ underage friends after receiving her old phone number. What are the chances of that?!
It would appear life is good for Lil Jon. He’s not a businessman he’s a business, man…now check out his business plan.
I don’t know what it is about Florida, but it seems like all of the dirtiest songs come out of that state. 2 live crew set the fire in the late 80’s, and now we have yet another song to fuel it. Enjoy.
I can’t get this out of my head:
Also, shout outs to Condron.us for sending us some traffic!
I heard this track the other day, and even though it’s a few years old, it’s definitely worth posting. The lyrics are relatable, and it’s hard to believe this is made by a Swedish rapper considering he sounds so American. Damn catchy, too.
